Events
TCORAC events will stand to portray Africa as a rich continent with the correct human and capital resources, and that Africa is no longer synonymous to poverty as always shown over the TV, Radio, News Papers and in other news media. God said, “if you think big, I will make you big.” Lets eradicate the idea of thinking that Africans live in caves, and among animals. How can you succeed when you don’t actively trust yourself and start something vital for Africa? All those who were in Southern Africa during the world cup will actually see how that part of Africa has tremendously improved. Regardless of the colonial history, the same could be done in other parts of Africa, if and only if we portray the right attitude, focus, determination, hope, faith and vision.
But please take a detour and go to some other interior parts of the countries in Africa, then you will see how it will take you donkey years to spell the word “POVERTY,” and you start to wonder what miracles they are using to survive. For instance, you will see: the sick transported in hammocks to distance places in search of the closest clinics, or on Hondas typically called “Orcada” instead of in ambulances, children using a little cloth rags to cover their private parts instead of wearing the designated pants due to extreme poverty, people uses the stream or rivers or the forests or bushes as daily toilets, instead of toilets or bathrooms, not to talk about young children going about begging in market places, along the streets, and offices to survive the system.
But let’s think here for a minute, these are the very Africans that are endowed with vast rich lands to grow all types of crops, rich mineral resources, with highly educated elites who are globally articulate, and doing well. Yet still the word Africa continues to be synonymous to poverty. These are the very people TCORAC stand to advocate for their liberation, for if the colonial nationalist elites can do it, we can do it better due to our fortune of technological consciousness and global awareness.
Thanks to all International missionaries, Churches and Church Groups, NGOs, Philanthropists, people of goodwill, the international communities and Anderson Cooper of CNN for stepping up by realizing that making a difference in peoples lives is a direct and uninterrupted blessings from God. Is about time we figure out ways as Africans to genuinely join these people in making this noble cause successful for the African people. Though some of our brothers and sisters have previously betrayed such opportunities by selfishly diverting or converting charitable donations to other undisclosed locations, the center will and must stand to police and prevent such malpractice in the best interest of the African people.
Other notable events will include:
- ZONAL CONFERENCES: The Center will be hosting Zonal conferences: West African zone, East African zone, Central African Zone, North African zone, and South African zone. Every year each country will be encouraged to develop an annual developmental goals and objectives to be submitted to the center to help oversee its implementation. For instance, each country might want to concentrate on infrastructural development such as modernizing a hospital, help in the expansion of modern agricultural products, providing public toilets, transportation, health centers, expansion of universities and colleges, means for the provision of jobs for Africans and more.
- Conference of University students, teachers and professors in the United States: Where they will be directly involved in bringing Africa’s in depth economic situation, and solution towards development.
- Youth conferences: will help on cultural revitalization especially on kids born in the United States to remind them of their roots and origin. To instill awareness in them, that they have a part to play towards the development of their respective motherland.
- \Women conferences, where African women will meet to discuss their differences and how they can contribute towards Africa’s development.
- Unity Conference between African-American and native Africans: This conference will involve removing the cultural barriers, mountains and walls that are standing their way. We do recognize the awareness that has started to exist between these Africans, but more still needs to be done so that each of them will once again establish a home in Africa. Why do you keep a big stick back of your door when sleeping?
- Spiritual Discipleship and Mentorship Conference: This conference will involve religious leaders where moral matters involving women, youth, children and marriages will be discussed. It emphasizes the importance of imparting the right words that will integrate the impotance of morality, development, ethics and change.
